Reciprocal agreement with Athabasca University
SCMA has a reciprocal agreement with Athabasca University’s (AU) Online MBA program for Executives, which for the first time allows holders of the SCMP designation to receive exemption credits towards a Master’s degree from an accredited post-secondary institution.
For individuals who hold the SCMP designation in good standing, Athabasca University will grant transfer credit for up to nine (9)credits out for forty eight (48) total credits within the Online MBA Program for Executives. This will decrease the time to complete by up to six (6) months and reduce the tuition by approximately $9,000. Contact Athabasca University for more details.
For individuals who hold an AU MBA, SCMA will grant exemption from two (2) modules and three (3) workshops in the SCMP program. The entire education aspect of the program consists of eight (8) modules and six (6) workshops. This will decrease the time to complete by seven (7) months and a savings of approximately 35% of the value.
Advanced Standing for SCMP Designation
SCMA Alberta has partnered with MacEwan University, Mount Royal University, University of Alberta and SAIT to have an Advanced Standing agreement for SCMP Designation Program, for those who have completed the below courses from the respective universities.
Mount Royal University:
- Bachelor of Business Administration, Supply Chain Management Minor
- Advanced Supply Chain Management Extension Certificate
- Supply Chain Management Extension Certificate
University of Alberta:
- Master of Business Administration Commerce (MBA) Degree (Supply Chain Major)
- Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Operations Management Major)
