The Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA) is proud to support the education and development of Canadian supply chain management students with an ongoing scholarship program. SCMA aims to financially assist those individuals who have shown academic excellence and a passion for contributing to the supply chain sector.

SCMA 2017 In-Residence Week (IRW) Student Bursary

The IRW Student Bursary was created to award one deserving student a $2,500 contribution to their expenses relating to In-Residence Week (IRW). Full participation by students in IRW is critical to the successful completion of the SCMP designation program. SCMA aims to financially assist those individuals who have shown academic excellence and a passion for contributing to the supply chain sector. The bursary is an opportunity to alleviate some of the attendant financial pressure of pursuing the designation.

 

One $2,500 bursary is available to one SCMP candidate attending In-Residence Week.

  • Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or have landed immigrant status in Canada.
  • Applicant must be an SCMA member in good-standing.
  • Applicant must be enrolled in the SCMP designation program, confirmed by their Institute as eligible to participate in IRW.
  • Applicant must be able to demonstrate financial need.

SCMA National scholarships for undergraduate students

Five awards of $1,000 each will be awarded to the selected students.
  • All applicants must reside in Canada and be enrolled full-time in a supply chain related program at a Canadian college or university for the 2016/17 academic year.
  • Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.50 or (for first year students) minimum average of 80% upon secondary school graduation. Transcripts must be included with all submissions.
  • Students must be able to demonstrate financial need.

Codère SCMA Doctoral Thesis Scholarship

The Codère SCMA Doctoral Thesis Scholarship fosters a Canadian community of scholars in the field of supply chain management by supporting outstanding doctoral candidates in their thesis development and research. Applications will be evaluated based on their potential contribution to the intellectual capital of the profession of supply chain management in Canada.

Two scholarships are available, up to a maximum value of $15,000 per scholarship.

This scholarship is made available in memory of Claude Codère, p.g.c.a., FACGA. As an astute supply chain management professional and gentleman, Claude is remembered for his passion for his profession and his advocacy of supply chain management research. When it came to supporting research in the field, his strength and perseverance and his knack for persuading others to join his mission were an inspiration to many and a model for those who follow. He is missed by all, but the boundless energy, enthusiasm and eloquence that sustained his work will long be remembered.
