Gerry PriceGerry Price was born in Winnipeg and holds a B.Sc. and a M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manitoba as well as a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania. Following graduate studies, he worked as a Defense Scientific Services Officer for the Defense Research Board in Alberta, then joined E.H. Price Limited (now Price Industries Limited) in 1977. In 1986, he became President of Price Industries following their start up in Asia Pacific, and began to lay the foundation for their expansion into the US market. During his tenure he has launched many new product lines, factory expansions and new business units in Canada and the US.

The Price Group comprises seven companies, had sales in 2014 of $409 million, and operates thirteen factories, seven in Canada and six in the US, totaling 1,400,000 sq. ft. Manufactured products range from HVAC mechanical products to transit windows, aluminum extrusions and other industrial products. The company's workforce numbered over 2,500 employees in 2014, half in the US and half in Canada.
