How to Register

Registrations must be prepaid and will be processed only with payment. When paying by cheque, please note that registration will occur only when the SCMA National office confirms receipt of the cheque. Please keep this in mind if you are taking advantage of the early registration deadline. If you require documentation for internal procurement processes, please print the registration record. On-site registrations will be accommodated if space permits and if accompanied by a credit card.

Session Pre-Selection

All delegates are asked to indicate their preferred education session for each time block. This information will allow us to assign education sessions to appropriately sized rooms. However, seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis and delegates remain free to switch sessions.

Early Registration

To obtain discounted early registration rates, your registration and payment must be received on or before Friday, April 14, 2017.

Group Discounts

Take advantage of a 5% discount when paying for four or more full registrations from the SAME company at the SAME time. All registrations must take place as part of the same transaction.

Registration Deadline

The last day to pre-register for the conference is Wednesday, May 31, 2017. After this date, registrations will only be accepted on-site.

Full Registration

This is the most comprehensive package and includes all breakfasts, Awards Luncheon, Friday lunch, keynote speakers, education sessions and evening networking events (Conference Kick-Off and the Wine & Cheese Reception)

One-Day Registration

 Attend either the Thursday or the Friday and participate in that day's activities. NOTE: One-day registration does not include the evening networking events. Tickets for these events must be purchased separately.

Companion Registration

This registration package is for your spouse or guest and includes all breakfasts, Awards Luncheon, Friday lunch, keynotes, and evening networking events. Companion Registration excludes all education sessions. Maps and tourism information will be available to companions to help them plan their stay in Winnipeg.

Retired Rate

Retirees from the profession may register at a special discounted rate to attend the conference. The retired rate signifies you have retired from employment.

Student Rates

To be eligible for this discounted rate, you must be enrolled as a full-time student in a university or college. Valid student identification must be shown when you pick up your badge on-site.

Single Event Ticket

Additional tickets are available for the Conference Kick-Off and Wine & Cheese Reception.  NOTE: These tickets are included with full and companion registrations.

Optional Pre-Conference Seminars

Delegates pay an additional fee to register for either of the two pre-conference seminars.

On-Site Check In

All delegates are required to check in at the Registration Desk located in the RBC Convention Centre Southeast Concourse. Delegates will receive their conference bags and badges upon check-in. Badges must be worn for admittance to all keynotes, education sessions, and non-ticketed events.

  • Thursday, June 15: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
  • Friday, June 16: 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Separate check-in will be available for the Pre-Conference Seminars

  • Tuesday, June 13: 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, June 14: 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Delegate List

To be included in the delegate list, your registration must be received by Tuesday, May 23, 2017. Your name, title, employer, city, and email that you provide with your registration will be included in the conference delegate book. To facilitate networking prior to the conference, we may also provide the name, title and employer of the delegate on the SCMA National website.

Registration Confirmation

Receipts are issued immediately upon registration if you are paying on-line by credit card. Letters of confirmation and receipts will be emailed to all delegates who pay by cheque within a week of receipt of payment. Please keep this information on file if you intend to claim CPD credits.

Delegate Substitutions

If you are unable to attend the Conference after registering, you may send someone in your place. You must submit the person's name and contact information in writing. If you are an SCMA member and your replacement is a non-member, the difference in corresponding fee must be paid.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received up to Monday, May 29, 2017 will receive a full refund less a $100 administration fee. No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations after this date. All refund requests must be made in writing to the SCMA National office. All no-shows will be charged the full amount. SCMA reserves the right to make changes to the program without notification. If the program is not held for any reason, SCMA's liability is limited to the registration fee.
