2017 Annual General Meeting

SCMA NB's Board of Directors were pleased to host the 20th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on October 19, 2017 at the Delta Beausejour in Moncton, NB.

A full evening started off with a social where our members mingled with each other and took the opportunity to network followed by dinner and a presentation by Brenda Long of Serenitas Coaching Inc. on the importance of “being present” in our current tasks, and taking the best advantage of our time and efforts with the goal of being happier in our work-day, and by extension, in our home life as well. Our business meeting followed where our President, Bill O’Donnell, Treasurer, Greg Bryden, and Incoming President, Vince Dixon, each gave members an overview of the 2016/2017 fiscal year activities and plans for the 2017/2018 fiscal year. Minutes of Meeting and a President’s report have been posted here.

SCMA NB recognized Rose Mary Brown-Parlee, Steve Earle, Mohamed Farooqui, Derrick Hebb, Marc-Andre LeBlanc, Bill Leonard and Jason Somerville for their hard work, commitment and desire to excel in the field of Supply Chain as they received their SCMP designations or SMT certificate. Congratulations on achieving this milestone. This represents what SCMA NB and SCMA are all about - a principal source of SCM training, education and professional development leading to the SCMP Designation or SMT Certificate.

Member companies represented at the AGM included Government of NB, Emera Energy, Atlantic Lottery Corporation, Action Car & Truck Accessories, Alcool NB Liquor, Irving Oil Ltd, McCain Foods Ltd, JD Irving Ltd, Midland Transport, Mount Allison University, Imperial Manufacturing Group and others.

The Board would like to thank our members and employers in making our event an outstanding success and we look forward to continuing our successful partnership in the future.
