Recipient of the 2014 Volunteer Award
A member of PMAC since 1987, Ray has been an active participant at the District, Institute and National level. He served as Ottawa District President in 1993, Ontario Institute President in 1998/99 and Chair of the National Board of Directors from 2005 to 2007. Ray’s affiliation with the Institute dates back to the first AGM, which was held in 1991.
Over the years Ray has sacrificed a significant amount of his own personal time in service to the association, acting as a mentor to fellow members and promoting the profession. His drive, enthusiasm and professionalism are just some of the reasons why he is a role model to so many friends and colleagues.
As a recipient of the first SCMAO Volunteer Award, Ray has set the bar high for excellence in service and leadership.
Ray has held a variety of Procurement and Contract Management roles with companies in the Ottawa area for the past 30 years. These have included a specialized helicopter parts supplier, an export trading firm, an engineering firm, a secure systems integrator, a manufacturer of ruggedized computers for the Aerospace and Defence Industry, one of the world’s premier management consulting and technology outsourcing firms, a defence systems integrator, a network communication company and, currently, a waste-to-energy conversion company.
