Dear members, partners, friends and supporters of SCMAQ,

Embracing the 21st Century... In an ever-evolving era, where barriers have been uplifted, walls broken down and frontiers surmounted, the world has become a global village.

The rise of new markets, the unprecedented growth of technology and communication, the emergence of new markets and challenges have redrawn the parameters. Described as a world of 'cascading interdependence', the world today confronts us with many Supply Chain challenges to be tackled in all their dimensions through different lenses.

Traditional methods are revised and paradigms shifted in order to meet the challenges of 21st Century global markets. Individuals need to consider a multitude of factors before making decisions of socioeconomic, geopolitical, technological, ecological and cultural importance. Here a question poses itself. Is your Supply Chain paving the way for such an evolutionary shift? The answer lies with us.

SCMAQ has already taken the mantle to prepare coming generations for the new era. Its main focus is on promoting interpersonal and intrapersonal relations, leadership and independent maturity. A hands-on application of knowledge complements a solid theoretical background. The eclectic nature of learning is emphasized in the classroom, on the web, in on-the-job training as well as at the workplace and corporations.

SCMAQ members will not only accumulate a wealth of information, but also learn to screen, analyse and transform this information into valuable knowledge.

Welcome to SCMAQ.

Nick Lovatsis, President

Dear members of SCMAQ:

Supply chain professionals are confronted with evolving changes concerning the growing demands and requirements of various markets. Being on the lookout for new trends can make a difference in terms of risk management and the benefits that result from it. The association's mandate includes providing its members with professional development opportunities such as seminars, conferences, webinars and classroom training in order to achieve the goal of fostering knowledge and becoming supply chain leaders.

Strategic links can be developed with the employer community by demonstrating the relevance and high quality of the training offered by our Association. By making employers aware of the value offered by our profession, the Association and the SCMP designation, we will help all our members benefit from increased visibility with employers who are searching for supply chain professionals.

The SCMP is the highest and best known designation in the Canadian supply chain industry. This designation is awarded to those who successfully complete the training program. The Association wishes to ensure holders are assured that the designation remains a benchmark of excellence based on its reputation and its relevance to the supply chain management industry.

In terms of activities, the members of the Board are redoubling their efforts to offer major events such as the 5@7 lectures that offer benefits such as networking opportunities. Our renowned guest speakers have a deep understanding of issues related to the supply chain. As a result, these events help gain more knowledge and understanding of the reality within various organizations.

Welcome to the SCMAQ.
