Conference summary : Mr. Labrecque will speak about procurement issues, and about the important, but sometimes under-valued, responsibilities of supply chain professionals. He will also speak about sustainable development, initiatives to equip the Olympic Park with electric cars, charging stations for electric cars, and marketing campaigns for the revitalization of the Olympic Stadium.
Michel Labrecque has been presiding over and managing the Olympic Park since 2014. Before that, he presided over the STM (Société de transport de Montréal) board of directors from 2009 to 2013. He set up and presided over the MONTRÉAL EN LUMIÈRE festival from 1998 to 2009, as well as Vélo Québec from 1985 to 2000.
Elected municipal councillor in Montreal for one term, he was also a radio and television commentator for Radio-Canada and Télé-Québec for almost 20 years.
