The Speed Networking component of the Student Case Competition has benefits to both the student participating and the industry professionals who host the tables.

Students participating in the case competition will also have the opportunity to network one-on-one with industry professionals through timed networking sessions.

The objective of the networking is twofold: to provide students the opportunity to learn more about their chosen profession and to increase their professional network.

Two teams will be paired together and hosted by an industry professional for 15 minutes at a time. Groups will rotate every 15 minutes with the exception of the time when they present their case in front of the judges. Once a team has presented their case they will rejoin the speed-networking session.

The networking session allows students to spend time learning from those already involved in the supply chain industry through knowledge sharing and advice. As well, students can make connections with other students studying related subjects and with similar interests!

Industry Professionals:

As a speed networking professional, you will be exposed to supply chain and business management students from across the country. You will have the opportunity to interact with the best and brightest future supply chain management professionals. This interactive speed networking session allows professionals and students the ability to make lasting relationships and valuable business connections. Through actively engaging with students, you can make a lasting effect and impact on the supply chain management leaders of tomorrow.

Further, if your company is looking for bright, new talent, perhaps this is a way to screen some potential candidates.

Additional Benefits! Those who have completed their SCMP designation can gain 2 CPD credits through participating as speed networking professionals.
